We were asked to undertake an extension to old property in Foston Lincolnshire. This would replace an old forge to create a new living area accessible from the existing house and incorporate a double aspect fireplace. We, ourselves and the clients, wanted to try and keep as much character as possible and also make the room as light and as airy as possible. We achieved this by keeping the ceilings vaulted, adding large roof windows and adding features such as the brick corbel to match the existing house. The overall effect achieved was a stunning and a beautiful living area that complimented the existing propery.
