What happens if I want to make changes as the work is taking place?

We are all working to achieve the end result you want so if you do have any ideas whilst the work is taking place do not hesitate to speak to us straight away. It may be possible that if we don’t think something is going to work we will suggest a different option for you. We are all aiming to give you the best possible finish we can.

We have had a bad experience in the past; how do we know that we can trust you?

In any industry there are bad and good contractors. We offer to organise site visits to work completed and to meet customers who I have worked for and I can also supply references. All of my sub-contractors also come highly recommended and are all registered with the relevant regulatory bodies.

Are there any hidden costs on your quote?

All quotes are itemised and inclusive of VAT so you can see exactly where costs will be spent. If, throughout the work, you want to change anything or add any work on a price we agreed before the work commences, there will be no surprises on completion.

Are you able to deal with planning applications and building control issues?

We are more than happy to take control of all aspects of the build. We can apply for planning, submit a building control form, deal with structural engineers, have plans drawn up for you, etc. Anything we can do to help, we will.

Do you work to deadlines or timescales?

We always set targets and deadlines to make sure you are aware of what will be achieved and by when. If you need us to be finished by a certain time please let us know and if this is feasible we will do our best to make sure we have finished by then.

Do you have insurances?

We are insured with full public liability insurance and all of our tradesmen and sub-contractors also offer the same. Paperwork can be shown upon request.

What hours do you work?

Our working hours are subject to the client’s needs. If it is necessary to work late, or at weekends, this will be discussed with the client before this is organised.

Do you organise client meetings whilst work is taking place?

We like to organise regular meetings with clients whilst work commences to make sure that you are happy with the progress, we can inform you of the next stages of work and any problems or issues that may have be raised can be resolved. We will also dedicate a project manager to you so if you have any queries or concerns at any time they will be available for you to talk to.

What are your payment procedures?

Dependent on the type of work and size of the job this will always be discussed before commencement. We do work off a staged payment process which allows us to order materials and cover costs throughout the work and also gives you the security of not paying all of the money out at once.

Do you offer any forms of guarantees?

We always guarantee our work and offer a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee and, with all of our work being to a very high standard, this will give you the peace of mind to help make the experience as stress free as possible. We also work very closely with all regulatory bodies and all local building control officer to make sure you get the added insurance that all work is checked by a unattached party to make sure you have the build you want.
